International cooperation and exchange of NENU has achieved remarkable success since 1980s. At present we have established cooperative exchange relations with more than 40 universities and colleges overseas and over 500 teachers have been supported by the university to study abroad. More than 100 scholars have given lectures and cooperated researches overseas.Also 2400 and more foreign scholars have visited NENU where over 2300 foreign students have received education. Preparatory School for Chinese Students to Japan ( PSCSJ ) is granted by Japanese government as a sole training school for the students studying in Japan. And 3500 students have been in Japan to study after they finished the training .External Chinese Teaching Centre have undertaken the state's HSK exam and the exam of External Chinese Teaching Qualification. At present, one third of 217 foreign students are studying for degree in their departments. Having broadened our horizons ,wide international exchange strengthens constructions of subjects, promotes teacher development , and raises the quality of talents, the level of scientific research and administration. Internationalization of higher education is getting more and more distinctive in the new century.With the changing of world pattern and the tendency of economic integration,our university will further launch international exchange and cooperation of various levels and fields after entering the WTO,expediting our university with internal first-rate and international influence .In the international arena of higher education,vision of NENU will be broadened,track will be widened and partnerships will be further strengthened.
