Biography：

From 1968 to 1972, he was sent to the countryside of Qianguo and Nong'an in Jilin Province. In 1975, he graduated from the Maths Department of NENU.From 1982 to 1989, he went to study in the Idealist Philosophy Department of Kyushu University in Japan. He successfully got the master's degree and the doctor's degree. He was one of the first Ph.D. students who went abroad to study at public expense in our country after reforming and opening-up. In 1989, he returned and taught in the Maths Department in NENU. In 1990, he was promoted to be the vice-professor and then became a professor in 1992. In 1993, he became the advisor of doctoral students. In 1997 he was awarded the national outstanding young and middle aged specialist and was elected to be the member of the Acdemic Degree Committees of the State and the National Natural Science Fund.In 1993, he went to New Finland University in Canada to study for one year. From 1997 to 1998, he taught in Yiqiao University in Japan as a professor.In 2001, he went to Singapore State-run University to visit and study.Since 1991, he has been the vice-director of the Maths Department of NENU, vice-president of NENU and vice-president who managed the daily affairs. And then he became the president of NENU in 1998.

Research and Awards： 

He obtained prominent achievement in the domain of maths statistic science and so won the regard and recognition of the international academic circles and became a young-middle-aged mathematician influential at home and abroad. He was frequently invited to the USA, Canada , Japan and Singapore to give lectures and develop cooperative study. His study was successively supported by the National Natural Science Fund. And his story was included into A cross-centennial ascend which was compiled by the Maths Department of National Natural Science Fund Committee. So far, he has already published more than 50 reserch papers, including 20 more published in the first class study publication in SCI search, and two of them were specially translated. As an educational manager, he has also achieved a lot in the national analysis of teacher education. He continuously published "Adhering Elementary Education", "Creation as the Soul of the First Class Normal University ", "Especialism of Teaching -the Important Mission of Teachers' Education in the New Century '', "Towards Respectful Education" and 10 more in Guang Ming Daily, Chinese Education and so on. And his "On Education Philosophy" published in "Studies in Education" was appraised to be excellent scientific paper by Kerbie Science and Culture Centre of the USA and it was published by more than 30 publications and presses.
