With the magnificent mountains and rivers, the greatness of a man lends glory to this place. Having trained 180,000 talented teachers and other specialized personnel of different kinds and levels, Northeast Normal University has a group of diligent and creative faculty members. They set up good examples for the students and devote themselves to the education. Among the 1401 full-time teachers, there are one academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, one academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences, 348 professors, 431 associate professors and 184 doctoral advisers. Among them, there are 11 members of the Academic Degree Committee of State Council (of all previous years), one professor in the "Yangtze River Scholar Program" , three National Outstanding Youth Fund Recipients, five national outstanding young and middle aged specialists, three professors selected for the "One Hundred Experts Program" (a national personnel development project organized by The Chinese Academy of Sciences), 12 teachers selected for the personnel construction program sponsored by the Ministry of Education, and one state-level renowned teacher as well.
